HIERARCHY STRUCTURE IN DESIGN

Have you ever read a book, publications, posters, billboards, brochures or other media design, then you become dizzy? Could be because the design of the publication is not concerned with the hierarchy. All information to be conveyed to the reader. Usually this is seen in the use of large font, bold but unfortunately the same size. So that we become confused, where the information is highlighted.

Designers Challenge
The challenge of graphic designers create a design that is made to be as communicative as possible. Readers should be invited to see first on the most important information, and most importantly the second, third and so on. The designers must have the perception that readers have limited attention and do not have much time. Therefore, before stepping on the design, it helps designers understand the first content that will be made. Sequence to design reading by the reader into the right and on target.

Not Only Just Interesting
One of the mistakes of the graphic designer is to create a designer is as good as possible but forget about communication problems. Readers interested in the color game created, modified illustration, etc., but they are hard to find the main intent of the design. In the end it makes the ineffectiveness of the design.

Some of the Facility or Facilities to Strengthen Hierarchy

Color
Play of color, for example between the main titles, subtitles, can determine which is primary or secondary.

Fonts
The selection of different fonts between the primary and support can make the reader find what he was looking for with ease.

Large Font
It helps us a great pick different letters between several different content within the design.

The use of artistic Illustration
It could be that we add a box terarsir with subtle color to affirm an information that must be seen first by the audience.

What to Look For
All of the above facilities should be used consistently, especially if we have to make a similar design book or product catalog. Ketidakkonsisten use of means of hierarchy makes the reader confused. For example, if the product is used to name the color of dark blue, then so must use these colors.
